Issue security not being updated in Post Function

I'm trying to use the "If user is a member of the ABC role, set issue security level to XYZ" post function, but I'm not having any luck with it.

I've checked:

1. The Issue Security Scheme is associated with the project
2. The scheme has 2 levels - one which is set as default, and another which I want it to set to if the reporter is in a certain group.
3. Other post functions I've added are firing, so it's definitely the right workflow scheme
4. The test user has the ability to set issue security
5. Issue security is visible on the issue type.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I worked it out - I had it in the Create transition along with a JSU automated transition, and although the JSU one was last in the list, I think there's a timing bug. When I moved the post function to a different transition that didn't have an automated JSU transition, it worked fine.
