I have set up 2 projects in Jira
My flow is
The problem is that during step #2, when I open the moved ticket, it opens completely blank. The only workaround is to go the regular JIRA project and open it from there -> it then loads as expected
What am I doing wrong and how do I get this working normally as it's quite distracting (and slow) to go through the main project for every newly created ticket?
Welcome to the community.
Are you trying to open the issue from the portal or?
Form the portal a moved issue to a Jira project (not JSM) can't be done.
Issue in Jira projects can be opened from that project or the JSM project is the linked issue is opened from the linked JSM issue
Here're the steps
If I now open the non-JSM project (where the ticket was moved to), open Issues and click on the same ticket ID, ticket opens just fine
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Might be that the issue is not fully indexed yet when clicking the link in the popup.
You could make a recording an raise an issue with Atlassian Support.
I can't see why this is happening, this should work, but we can't see the instance backend of your instance.

It seems it's CSP related and only happens on Firefox. If I use a different browser, the issue does not reproduce
The repro is now even simpler on ff - I just open a ticket URL and .. all blank, unless I navigate to the issue from within Jira
