Hi,

we are using JIRA as a Changerequest to Releasemanagement tool for our business. (Businesscase wise)

Is there a way to add the following on a issue level:

  • Add internal spending hours x a internal price rate (Calculate and show in a field)
  • Add external spening hours x a external price rate (Calculate and show in a field)
  • Add additional costs
  • Calculate the total costs of the issues

After we have addressed the issue to a Fix version (Release), we would like to see a total specified calculation of the costs of all issues within that release. (In Euro's)

All within the JIRA GUI on a Issue and Fix Version Level.

Is that possible? We have searched, but we don't find any financial possibilities within JIRA.

Please let me know.

Regards,

Max

Hi,

Thanx, I already found it before your reply. And I have succesfully installed it in JIRA.

We will try this in the next couple of weeks. We first start off with our Change Advosiry Board, after that I will ask our JIRA consultant to use this fields in our project.

Keep you posted. Thanx!

Best regards,

Max

You can add pojectrelated internal, external price rates, ... using the JIRA Metadataplugin and use these values via the JIRA Metadata Customfield to calculate the total costs of the issue(s).

But keep in mind to install the Active Objects Plugins if you're using JIRA 4.2 - 4.3.x (I've tested version 0.9.6):

https://maven.atlassian.com/content/repositories/atlassian-public/com/atlassian/activeobjects/activeobjects-jira-spi/0.9.6/activeobjects-jira-spi-0.9.6.jar
https://maven.atlassian.com/content/repositories/atlassian-public/com/atlassian/activeobjects/activeobjects-plugin/0.9.6/activeobjects-plugin-0.9.6.jar

Feel free to try it:

and give me an upvote if you like it

Andreas
