Is there a way to update a JIRA ticket with email threads

Debi McGill January 4, 2012

Users would like to be able to send emails via a JIRA ticket and have the email thread contained in the comments section. Is there a way to do this?

As per docs, http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Creating+Issues+and+Comments+from+Email

That does the basics. For something more advanced/clever, I always reach for the Jira Enhanced Mail Handler plugin (JEMH) first, but you need to have a look at the built-in create and comment stuff before you can move on to the advanced bits.
