Is there a way to turn off time tracking for epics for specific projects?

I am specifically trying to stop crucible from logging time to the epic card, but would like for crucible to log time to a given task card. Is this possible?

@Iheanyi Uwanamodo Welcome to the Atlassian community

Time tracking in the delivered product is either turned on or off for the instance.  I also believe this is the case for all the of the time tracking apps from marketplace.

So, is there any way I can stop time tracking in the issue type of epics whilst keeping time tracking turned on globally?

@Iheanyi Uwanamodo @Brant Schroeder

I'm happy to tell you that you're incorrect. Our Clockwork Pro has the option to select issue types for which time will be tracked. It does not stop anyone from manually adding worklogs to Epics, but when disabled, transitions of Epics will not start timers, so no time will be automatically tracked on them.

Here's what it looks like in the settings:

And here's what it looks like on the Epic:

You can trial the app for free to see for yourself if this meets your needs @Iheanyi Uwanamodo. In case of any questions the app comes with a chat widget on all its pages (settings, timesheets and such), so you can get in touch with us directly on the fly, or you can use our service portal.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Wojciech

Oops, sorry, I missed the Server tag. Please disregard my comment - Clockwork is only available in Jira Cloud.

Sorry @Iheanyi Uwanamodo for raising your hopes. If you end up migrating to the cloud, please keep Clockwork at the back of your head ;)

Cheers!
