Is there a way to show a goal on a Kanban board?

My team has been using a scrum board for a while and we really appreciate the ability to show a sprint goal.

We are experimenting with Kanban and would like to have goals representing our next big accomplishment. They are usually smaller than an epic, more like "Is this epic de-risked?", "Can we roll out to a customer", etc.

Is there a way to do this on a Kanban board? It seems like our options are use the Kanban board and keep the current goal tracked elsewhere, or use a sprint board to show the goal and lose some functionality like WiP limits/Kanban centered reporting.

Hi @Jess Sartin,

There is no way to do this out of the box, but there is an add-on that may help. Take a look at Kanban Combined WIP for Jira Cloud.  It is geared towards ScrumBan, but it may fit your use case.

Hope this helps,

-Scott

Hi @Jess Sartin  and others!

Since there is no out of the box solution:

We have made an add-on that might help! Better Goals 🎯 for Kanban Boards
