Is there a way to add inline images in Jira?

In the Confluence text editor, you can add an inline image within a paragraph. Is there a way to do this in the Description field in Jira?

Thanks for your reply. Is there a way to add the images inline within a paragraph? This is possible in the Confluence editor but doesn't seem to work in Jira. Here is an example with an icon embedded in a paragraph:
