I would like to see how often users are using the product, how many report/projects they are on, days since last active, etc.

Hi @Kyle Sullivan and welcome to the Atlassian Community.

You can view the login details of users to check if certain users are still active in Jira by:

  1. Open the Jira site you want to manage, and open Settings (the gear icon) > User management. If you administer multiple sites, you can alternatively go to admin.atlassian.com and choose the appropriate site.

  2. Find the user whose activity you want to check in the table. You can search for their name or filter by product access or role. The Last Active column lists the last time the user logged in.

For more information, please refer to this Atlassian Document: Monitor a user's activity

Another approach I could recommend is to check the activities via a Jira issue:

  1. Navigate to the specific issue and select the 'Activity' tab.
  2. Click 'Show History.' This will display a chronological timeline of all actions taken on the issue, including comments, work logs, and changes to its status or assignee.

Lastly, you can also look for 3rd-party plugins on the Atlassian Marketplace to conduct analytics and reports on user activities. My team is using TeamBoard ProScheduler to plan, track, and generate reports on the activities of a team member.Screenshot 2024-10-10 at 2.15.44 PM.png

I hope this helps.

@Kyle Sullivan Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Good news:  You can see most of this information in admin.atlassian.com.  You do need to be an org/site admin to be able to see this.

Bad news:  In order to see the data you are looking for, you'll need to have an active Atlassian Guard subscription (which is a different product/fee from Jira). =(

More good news, on admin.atlassian.com, you can/should be able to see each user's last active date for FREE.  Everything else, you'll need Guard.

If your team is using groups to manage project access, then you may be able to get that information as well as you can see a user's group membership.
