Is the Filter in Plan view supposed to hide Child items?

In Jira Plan (Timeline or List view), are Filters supposed to filter out all tickets that are unchecked? For example I'd like to have an "IN FLIGHT" filter that doesn't show stuff that's Done.

So in Filters > Statuses I uncheck All Done Statuses. But Done child tickets still show up.

I think it might be because under some "In Progress" Epics we have Stories that are Done and all those Done tickets are showing up because of the In Progress parent. If I uncheck "In Progress" as well now all the Done cards go away.

Is this happening to you? If not, perhaps it's in our config.

Eventually I just decided to adjust the "# of days threshold" for Done items down to 5 days and kept it in Basic View; this is fine.

Plan Settings > Exclusion Rules

(As a non-admin, I never could figure out the filter still showing unexpected child items. Chatted with one of our admins and it's probably something to do with how our Epics are configured or something.)

Hi,

In Plans when unchecking all Done status, only Done Epics should be visible if they have Child issue not in done status, otherwise everything that is done should not be visible.

Just wondering if your Done statuses are mapped correctly in the statuscategory Done (green one)

regards

Laura
