Is "actioning issues via svn commit messages" supported by JIRA?

I've seen some interesting JIRA Studio documentation saying

If you are working with code, you can action issues in JIRA Studio via Subversion commit messages. By using particular keywords in your commit message, you can log work, add comments or change the status of an issue. This makes it easy for you to maintain any issues that are related to the code you are changing.

...

For example, if you include the following text in your commit message, JIRA Studio will log 2 days and 5 hours of work against issues JRA-123, JRA-234 and JRA-345, add the comment 'Task completed ahead of schedule' to all three issues, and resolve all three issues, when you perform your commit:
JRA-123 JRA-234 JRA-345 #resolve #time 2d 5h #comment Task completed ahead of schedule

Since this would be a great feature, I thought it was supported even for JIRA 4.4 standalone (with svn plugin enabled), but after some failed trials I'm afraid it is not supported at all (see also http://www.mail-archive.com/syncope-dev@incubator.apache.org/msg00118.html).

So the question: is it directly supported? If not, is there any other way to achieve it?

I've been using Trac for a while and I was happy with its great svn integration. I was enthusiastic about jira as I presumed it supported even this feature (beyond the others) ...

I've found https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/SVN-48: unresolved. From there you can reach a dragon slayer solution implying fisheye... not so good.
