Is it possible to use issue collector when jira is installed on a vpn?

We are using jira installed on a private network and is only available on our vpn. We would like to make use of the issue collector but our users cannot see the tab when embedded on the page as they are not allowed access. Is there a way to directly interface with the issue collector via an api so that we can proxy the requests through our application or some other way around this issue?

Hi @Hub Selto

Issue collector is a widget which works with an interface. I'm not sure an API exists for just the issue collector. However, there is an API for creating new issues.
