We are looking to possibly switch to Jira but we don't want to lose our old ticket database.

Is it possible to migrate existing tickets into Jira and what would be the best way to do so?

Hi @Teodora Ugrenovic  welcome to the community.

I did a quick search on the internet and didn't find any direct migration utilities.

Does osTicket allow you to export the data into a CSV file?  If so, I found this article from Atlassian Support on importing the data into the cloud.

It gives you the structure for the file in that article. It also suggests importing about 1500 records at a time.

I'm sure there are third parties that could also assist with the migration if you didn't want to manage it yourself.

Hope that helps.

Hi @Teodora Ugrenovic ,

Yes, we can migrate old tickets into Jira. we have External system import(system) option(CSV file import).

Below link gives you more info
