Is it possible to make an issue type screen tab added by default to all new project workspaces?

As in, when I click create to add a new story, can I see a General Tab, a Product Mgmt. tab (custom) with certain fields? I want this to happen by default for any new project workspaces we create, without having to go to the newly created workspace and editing the Issue type screens.

Hi, @Abhi Singh. Unfortunately, no.  At least, as far as I know.

If someone in the community knows differently, I'm confident they will speak up.

Meanwhile, you may want to consider searching for and/or creating an enhancement Suggestion along these lines in Suggestions and bug reports

I've put in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-26888 per your suggestion - if you'd like to add to/vote for it. Thanks!

Hello @Abhi Singh

Are you trying to create issues in Company Managed projects or Team Managed projects?

With a Company Managed project you set up tabs for the Create Issue dialog when you configure the Screen that will be associated with the Create operation in a Screen Scheme.

If you are creating Company Managed projects, you can elect to share the Configuration settings of another project. So if you have multiple projects that would use the same screens, screen Schemes, and Issue Type Screen Schemes, you could create each new project sharing the configuration of a project that is already set up in this manner. And then the tabs would show up "automatically" in the Create Issue dialog in the new projects.

Would that satisfy your needs?

(This sharing of configurations is not available in Team Managed projects.)

Thanks, Trudy! That's a great workaround. In our particular instance, I want teams to be able to retain and modify their own schemes, including screen configurations. But, we could create a basic screen configuration and make copies for each new space, allow each space to start with its own fresh configuration, then update the screens attached to each screen scheme. It's a bit more work but doable. Just wish we could modify the "master" and make this the default baseline.
