Is it possible to add the list of components to the quick filter?

similar to the dynamic filtering by an assignee in the boards quick filter, I would like to add the dynamic filter selection based on components.
can this be done?

Don't really make sense on how you would have dynamic filter based on component. Assignee is dynamic based on who logged into JIRA. How can you make component dynamic?

You would have to manually add various components to quick filters

Let's say you have a large project which addresses several teams (e.g. frontend and backend) and thus create a component for each. It would be helpful for each team to be able to filter the sprint board by the component. 
I understand we can create a board for each component but I would prefer avoiding it

I think the answer is that, no, it's not possible.

You would have to create a quick filter for each component in your current board, you wouldn't need separate boards.
