Is it possible to add sections to Plan that are not Jira issues themselves?

We have learned to love using Plan in Jira (Advanced Roadmaps). However, I am wondering if it is possible to add a custom section/divider of sorts that can be placed where it is needed in the plan. To be more specific, in order for something to show up in Plan, it must be a Jira issue and it should be linked in a parent-child relationship in order to be properly viewed in Plan based in Jira Hierarchy. What I'm looking for is a custom - 1 line entry for section placed within the plan. For Example:  "Phase 2". Today, If I want that, I would have to create another Jira issue and link the other tickets in that section. While that's certainly do-able, its not as clean.

Hi @Jamie Edmondson

This is not possible as a roadmap is based on sources, that shows jira issues from a board, project or filter.

Roadmap is just setting a visual overlay.

Ok that's what I needed to know then. Thanks, @Marc Koppelaar
