Is it possible, in the Saved Filter gadget of dashboard, to have Epics Issues counters?

Edited

Hello everyone,
I am using a dashboard gadget to list all Epics of the project.
I am using a filter to show just issues Epic typed.

Would be possible along the columns to:
- issues not resolve
- issues in total in the epic

Hi @silversonicaxel

I don't think this is possible out of the box. However, you might be able to use Jira Automation to calculate these two numbers and write them into custom fields on your epic. You should then be able to view the custom fields in your gadget.

Alternatively, you can always check the Atlassian Marketplace for specific solutions. I myself happen to work on an app in which such a view would be trivial to do; I'll provide more information below.

Just to expand on the last point, this is how this could look in the app that my team is working on, JXL for Jira:

epic-children-report.gif

For context, JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including the ability to view your issues in (configurable) hierarchies, and to calculate sum ups on any level of such hierarchy. With this, you can build a view like the above one in just a few clicks.

I should add that JXL doesn't currently have a dashboard gadget (but will have one, soon!) - however many of our customers simply use a JXL sheet as a "de-facto" dashboard.

As mentioned above, there may be other Marketplace apps that can help with this, too. You may already know that you can trial any app for free for 1 month, and depending on the size of your size, it may be free forever. So if an app is an option for your, perhaps try a few and see which works best for you.

Hope this helps,

Best,

Hannes
