Is back up manager a reliant way to make a back-up for Jira cloud?

Would like to know how I can store more then one back-up (today, yesterday, day before yesterday etc.) and what pro's en con's are of using Back up manager. Is it the only way to make a back up of the data

The backup manager gives you a single full backup of everything at the point at which you click it.  It only "keeps" one, expecting you to download the latest one, shortly after you click "create backup".

I would script something that hits the backup link and grabs that file when it's ready, so you can store it somewhere safe.  These backups are suitable for creating new Cloud systems as a copy, or for importing into Server Jira (As long as you don't have "next gen" projects - those will be ignored)
