I've been looking to link our instance of Tenable to Jira to have vulnerabilities automatically ticketed for our teams to work. But looking from the Jira side of things it looks like the app is removed from the marketplace. But Tenable has a Cloud integration guide with a revised date of today (1/15/2025). Is there a way to get that installed that I'm not seeing? Or is it not an option anymore?
Hi @Tyden Ruud
As per Tenable's Jira Cloud Integration Guide, the integration no longer requires a dedicated app from the Atlassian Marketplace. Instead, Tenable now supports direct in-product configuration to establish the integration with Jira. Here's a brief overview of the process:
Create an Access Token: You’ll need to generate an API token for the Jira account being used for the integration. This account must have Jira Product Admin privileges. Refer to this document for instructions on creating an API token.
Set Up the Integration: Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in Tenable's guide to configure the integration within their platform.
*Note: Since the configured Jira account will act as the "actor" for all actions and changes made by Tenable in Jira (e.g., ticket creation, updates, project creation etc.), it’s recommended to use a generic service account instead of a personal account. This ensures continuity and avoids potential disruptions if a personal account becomes deactivated.
If you’re facing any issues or have further questions, it’s worth reaching out to Tenable support for clarification on their updated integration process.
Thank you very much Akash,
Sorry I didn't read closer into the integration guide and fixated on finding the Marketplace app!
