I am a JIRA admin and I have a user who noticed that the query search results are now appearing in a grid format. Has there been a recent UI deploy that updated this and is it configurable so they can view the results in rows like it was prior to July 2024?
I see now that the gridlines are now the default and if you want to toggle to the old view you can by clicking the 3 dots on the upper right and selecting," go back to the old issue search."

@Cody Blake FYI, you're looking at dashboards, and the original issue here was for a List view for a filter. But, I don't see a choice to go back to "old issue search" either. @lorena test can you provide a screenshot?

I have the same issue; is anyone find any solutions?

I am seeing this also, as of today. I am a JIRA Admin, and did not make any changes to cause this. Here is a screen shot:
Here is a screenshot from 2 days ago, without the gridlines:

@Matthew Nelson - I just submitted a ticket for this same thing. I think the issue is with the "Filter Results" gadget that is available for use in dashboards. My team noticed the same things where all of a sudden our dashboards are showing with gridlines where a few days ago there were no gridlines. I believe an update had to have recently taken place where this was introduced. I'm hoping Atlassian Support can revert the change that added gridlines to this gadget.

Hi Lorena - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Can you share some screenshots?

I'm also interested in knowing where this setting is at since I see the lines in my Jira Cloud sandbox. One other person I checked with in sandbox did not see grid lines in filter results like I did. Interesting note, I don't see them in our Jira Cloud production instance and that's why I'm checking. I can't seem to find the setting in Sandbox that either turns them on or off. Any help is appreciated.

The Gridlines are probably based on the new Search functionality vs. old search

Yes, but the other Jira admin in Sandbox doesn't see the gridlines.

Hi Cody - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Thanks for doing that, and please post back here with any response/resolution that you get from Support. Good luck!

Hi, @John Funk !
Willian Sousa ("Willian M") responded to my ticket this morning with the following message:
Indeed, the Filter Results Gadget has been updated. These updates provide additional functionality, better performance, and a more accessible experience.
What’s New?
The three notable feature additions of the update are:
Separation of Columns
The columns are now separated by lines to improve readability and distinguish sections. The old Filter Results gadget had no separation between columns.
The new Filter Results gadget has linear separation between each column.
Resizable Columns
You will now be able to resize columns while editing the dashboard.
Inline Editing of Fields (Summary)
In the old gadget, to change the summary of a ticket, you had to click the “More actions” dropdown. We now allow inline editing of Summary when viewing a dashboard.
You can check the full details of this change at Updates to Filter Results Gadget.

Yes, I read that article and responded to it that day. :-)
Was more interested in the revert part. BTW, since then this has been created so you can vote for it and follow it:
