We want to integrate Jira with azure dev ops. The idea is to see the branches, Merge Request, and deployment stuff connected to Jira.
This will help in navigating and finding all details in Jira. We have started exploring this option https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1224155/git-for-jira-microsoft-azure?tab=overview&hosting=cloud
There are two many roadblocks to it. Is there a recommended way to do this?
This is Majid @ Exalate.
In order to fully synchronize your Jira instance to Azure Devops bidirectionally, you can utilize an an integration app such as Exalate. The app provides you fully customizable synchronization between work items in Azure Devops and Jira.
Please feel free to book a demo if you would like to see the product in action.
Thanks
Majid
Have you tried the Git Integration app? It does support Azure DevOps.

Hi all, Can I understand and confirm if JIRA can integrate with Azure devops repository natively?
or does it have to be done via a market place plugin?
Thanks.

Yes it is done with the marketplace plugin. There is one plugin for Github.com and there is another plugin to do it with Azure Git.

This is how it should look, once configured: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0Dk_k6Qe3U&t=112s
That video demonstrates an integration to business class github.com . I would assume Azure Git ADO might look the same, but not sure.

@Ankur Dadhich, hi. Welcome to the community! I'd like to propose an alternative way to integrate the two systems to the one you're asking about. You can take a look at ZigiOps. It's a flexible, no-code integration tool that allows customization to fit even the most complex use case. It works bi-directionally and can transfer/sync various data types. Feel free to explore it and if you want to see it in action - you can book a demo.
