Input field for "Issue inline creation" not displayed in JIRA 7.1.7

The "Issue inline creation" input field was introduced with JIRA 6.3 (see My installation has version 7.1.7 and the input field is not displayed as expected. Instead I only see the "+ Create issue" link.

Was the input field replaced by the link?

This widget could not be displayed.


What happens when you click on "+ Create issue" link?  You should see the same than in the screenshot!

The documentation indicates: ".. Just click the Create issue link, fill in the details and hit the Enter button. The new issue will be automatically added to your backlog. "
