Our creation modal for tickets is a plain text for the description field but once you edit the field after ticket creation its a rich text editor but this causes formatting issues. Anyone know how we can fix it so its a rich text editor on the creation modal?
Welcome to the community.
This should not happen anymore with the new issue view and creation.
On both screens edit and create the same description field is used?
Are you able to create a new company project (default), is it still occurring, then I would contact Atlassian Support.
There might be some issue then on your instance.
yes the same description field is used for both. We only have one description field in our instance. @Marc Koppelaar I'm less concerned about new projects and more concerned about being able to adjust this for our existing projects

Hello @Desiree Peters
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Is this for a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?
Can you provide a screen image that shows this?

this is for all our projects. the creation modal description field displays like this regardless of team, company or even service management projects. Once the issue is created the description fields displays as a rich text editor though so i'm baffled regarding what settings to change
