Importing stories to be cloned for a set of stories

I have a list of stories. For each story I create a clone of it and edit the summary(heading) for newly created story. 

Can it be done automatically rather than doing one by one manually. 

help for this will be really appreciated!

Your use case is not crystal, but I'd think you can solve this using Automation for Jira Cloud.

You'd basically need an automation rule that clones the passed issue and rewrites the summary of the clone. You can then select all issue that should be cloned and pass those to the automation rule.
