Hi @Nkongho Mengot

It depends:

  • Scenario 1: Bug created BEFORE story was resolved
    • Yes reopen the story
  • Scenario 2: Bug created AFTER story was resolved AND the bug CAN clearly be tied to Acceptance Criteria
    • I would say no.  It should definitely be linked though and raised as discussion point in root cause analysis of the bug.
  • Scenario 2: Bug created AFTER story was resolved AND the bug CANNOT clearly be tied to Acceptance Criteria
    • No.  I would even venture to say that this is not a bug, but a story that is the result of poor Acceptance Criteria on the original story and worth discussion in retrospective.

Hi @Mark Segall

Thanks for providing multiple scenarios in your response. Scenario 2 is exactly the case here. This is helpful. Cheers!
