Hi All! Hope everyone is well?
I have a team managed, cloud software project. I'd like to start using sprints.
Apparently I need to switch that on in the features menu in the project's settings but I can't see that menu.
I think it's a next-gen project, but can't see where I can find that either.
Any help appreciated.
Hi @mark hardwick, welcome to the community.
From your screenshots, I'm guessing that you created your team project using the Business Project template or the Process Management template. And sadly, these templates don't support creating Scrum or Kanban board (as far as I know).
In order to use sprints, you will have to create a Software Development Project in Jira and use either Kanban or Scrum templates. Then you will find that "Features" settings to turn on Backlog and Sprints.
Here is my screenshot of how it should look like.
Hi Lucas,
Thanks, that makes sense.
Do you know if I can change the type from business to software? I saw a post saying I should be able to do it in project settings -> details, but I don't see an option.

Sadly, I don't have that option on my end, either. So, I think the only way now is to create a new project.
However, you can export all issues (locate the Issues tab on the project board header) from your current business project as a CSV file and then import them to your new Software development project.
It's not the perfect solution, but it should save you tons of time and effort.
