Hello @iva_maheshwari

If you have already confirmed that the user has the correct general permissions for the Jira project, the next thing to look at would be if Issue Security has been implemented. Issue Security can be used to limit visibility of issues even for users with the Administrator role in the project.

Issue Security implementation is different between Team Managed and Company Managed projects. Which type of project are you using? Get that information from the Type column on the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

Hi @Trudy Claspill ,

How can I check the security of the issue? Also she is not able to see one particular field of the issue as well.

Thanks

What type of project are you using?

Go to the Projects menu.

Select the View All Projects option.

Find the project in the list.

What does it show in the Type column?

Hello Iva,

What type of project do you use ?

  • For company-managed project type, you need to:
    • Go to project settings -> Permissons -> Give the colleagues "browse project" permission.
  • For team-managed project type, you need to:
    • Go to project settings -> Access -> Check if there's "Private" option selected, if so, you need to Add a "Member" role to the colleague.

Hope this helps,

Matej

Hi @iva_maheshwari

Welcome to the community!

It should be because the permission scheme for that project is configured to restrict access to certain project features even for users with admin roles; you need to check the project's permission scheme and ensure the "Administer Projects" permission is correctly assigned to the role you gave her.
