Hyperlink to an email address on the Service Desk portal

Hello! We would like to include a hyperlink to our IT support email address on our IT portal. I am able to hyperlink a website, and was curious if anyone has hyperlinked to an email address on the portal.

I answered my own question :) 

Just copy the hyperlink from Outlook and paste it into the Introduction Text on under portal settings. 

If anyone is looking for how to do a web hyperlink use this format:  [Link Text| website url]

I need to add a hyperlink in the introduction text under portal settings and typing  [Link Text| www.google.com], only gives this text as it but does not create a hyperlink

what am I missing?

Incase others are having an issue and come to the same page as I did. I was able to do it by using the mailto: as part of the html link. Eg:

[Text| mailto:email@email.com]
