I'm starting to see marketing messages in area's such as comments on a jira ticket, saying things like "Stay in the loop - Get issue updates in real-time and respond from anywhere, with the Jira Mobile app." with hyerlinks to download iOS and Android apps (I'm running on Windows, so neither are of use!)
Anyone able to tell me how to stop these or do I just have to put up with forced marketing now as well?
HI @Chris Mann
I can remember that I heard from another admin of a Jira instance this was fixed for them.
I think they reached out to Atlassian via Atlassian Support to have this disabled on their instance.
There is definitely no option in Jira itself to disable this
I reached out to Atlassian support, and they turned this off for us

I use Ublock Origin for my ad blocking in Edge\Chrome. I was able to right click → Block element on the "ad" and create a filter for that element in a couple of clicks.
Very quick and works on any annoying pop-ups\blocks of text you don't care to see.

I feel insulted by this permament message disturbing my job.
Please Atlassian stop placing advertisement in the middle of my work.
What will be next? Advertising from othe brands in the description?
I am really disappointed with this...

I'm also getting complaints from multiple users about these ads. How did anyone at Atlassian think these were a good idea. They really don't understand their customers.

We are also not happy about those "product recommendations". Judging by older posts, there at least used to be an option to turn those of. But apparently, this was removed. If no simpler solution comes up here, we will also have to reach out to Support.

Update: we tried turning it off, but it didn't help, due to https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-79285

I hadn't found that option, but I raised a support ticket and they have now stopped them for us on our Jira instance. - I'm guessing there is no priority for them to resolve that Jira ticket, but clearly know how to to disable it when they are asked to do so!
