How to specify a non-default "Permission Scheme" as part of a CSV import via External System Import

Sean H_ February 4, 2025

Hi All, In the never-ending quest to reduce clicks I'd like to know if anyone has any tips or tricks to force a Permission Scheme (and even Workflow Schemes) when doing a CSV import of tasks via "System -> External System Import ->Old Experience -> CSV"?

I use an existing configuration file and have looked to see whether I can specify them there but I can't find any examples.

Cheers, Sean

Hi Sean - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This is not possible as importing issues to an existing project will use the schemes already associated with the project. And if you import to create a new project, it will always use the default.

I would suggest creating the project upfront using the Use an existing project as the basis for creating your new project. Then import the issues into this new project.

I thought so. I had to ask though :) - Many thanks
