How to show initiative as a field from a plan view that only includes epics and lower

We have a plan view we want to use to rank all epics, the epics live under themes which live under initiatives. We can use the "parent" field to show the theme names, but we also want to show the initiative names in this view without having the hierarchical view . Does anyone know how to accomplish this without doing something like a custom field and bulk actions?
