I have a Jira server, and I am using Bitbucket cloud. When I prefix my commits with the issue ticket i.e. "JRA-123 - Fixing bux xyz", and then I go look at issue JRA-123 it does not show any commits.
Is this because I have a server solution for Jira, but a cloud solution for Bitbucket? Or what do I need to do in order to integrate my Bitbucket and Jira?
PS. I did google this, but there was nothing clear about this issue. Thanks in advance.
Few things to check - make sure that the Application Link to Bitbucket is set up. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/using-applinks-to-link-to-other-applications-861253079.html
Next look at permissions. In order to see the commits in JIRA the user needs the View Development Tools permission on the project. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/integrating-with-development-tools-867028207.html
And to add to this - connecting Bitbucket Cloud to JIRA Server works fine.
Here's the page in the docs which explains what to do: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/connect-bitbucket-cloud-to-jira-server-applications-814208991.html
