If fix versions is set up to be mandatory on resolve issue screen. However fix versions is askes in create issue screen why? what should be done to avoid asking fix versios on create issue scree?
If you make a field mandatory in Jira, it is mandatory for the whole lifecycle of the issue.
To do what you want here, you make it optional, and add a "validator" to the resolve transition, which will stop the user completing the transition unles the issue has a fix version.
Yeah Nice has given a right solution, make it optional from Field configuration scheme and add a "Field Required Validator" on resolve issue screen.
this will solve the problem.
