How to set column color of a table a jira issue

David Boyd February 27, 2020

Jira cloud

when I add a table using the pre-defined macro I get a 3 column table by default with 3 rows.

the first row becomes the header row.

How can I change the table layout so that I can remove the header row and use the first column as the "header"?

Use to be able to do this in the past.

Hello David,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

When using Tables on issues in Jira, currently, it's not possible to change the background color of cells or columns.

There was a feature request that was closed a while ago as "Won't do", so I created a new one based on your question:

Hi Angelica,

On Jira server, In Issues :

Actually, when we set the cell color in table of "text" custom field, then after updating, color does not remain after the saving on view screen.

On edit screen it's visible the cell color but after update color won't keep on view screen.

What's the reason ?
