Hi @Adrian Moreno Vargas

Welcome to the community !!

If you would be interested in a mktplace add, to track story points committed and completed as a dashboard gadget, I can recommend our app. The app comes with couple of gadgets to track team member's or complete team's velocity in a sprint and also a complete sprint status overview. Do give it a try

Welcome to the community, @Adrian Moreno Vargas,

I am Marlene, product manager of Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

With our app you can aggregate all Jira number fields, including story points and original/remaining estimate.

For your use case the "Quick Created vs. Resolved" gadget would work, which could display the created and resolved story points/estimates per month.

To display the total amount of Story Points and estimates you could try the "Quick Issue Statistics" gadget, in combination with the Quick Controller gadget to filter per date or sprint.

You can try out Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards without installation on our demo dashboards.

Hi @Adrian Moreno Vargas ,

Unfortunately, native JIRA doesn't support this functionality. Even the most custom applications don't support all the functionality you are asking for.

If you can't purchase a 3rd party application and you are ok with the manual approach, I would recommend:

  1. Use 3rd party gadget with free HTML editing if there is one. If there isn't - you can write your own HTML gadget - it's a simple task if you know how to program.
  2. Use your filters and export the data to Excel.
  3. Calculate and aggregate the data you need by month.
  4. Manually present the data in the HTML gadget and manually maintain it.

If you can purchase a 3rd party application, I would recommend the one I have developed  - Multi-team Scrum Metrics & Retrospective. It completely covers all your requests and does it automatically, except for the conversion of Original/Remaining Estimate (you need to choose only one) into Story Points, this should be done by you - preferrably with automations/scripts.

Otherwise, you would need to use 2 setups for the application - one with Story Points and another one with Original/Remaining Estimate.

The bars can be colored based on teams or metrics.

Please note that this application provides many more useful features and is highly adjustable (for example, you can choose different number of months to show, or you can display the report based on years, half-years, quarters, etc.).

Best regards,
Alexey

Hi @Adrian Moreno Vargas,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Unfortunately this cannot be achieve by using Jira's native gadgets. A possible solution would be to search on Atlassian Marketplace for a plugin that offers gadgets capable to do this type of calculations.

If you are willing to use a plugin, then our Great Gadgets app could be your best option.

It offers some velocity gadgets that allow you to calculate the story points completed for both sprints and months with just a few clicks:

Team Velocity gadget - can be used to display the total completed story points per sprint

Kanban Velocity / Throughput gadget - can be used to display the total completed story points per month

HI @Adrian Moreno Vargas

First of all the sprints use different estimates, how do you validate them together?

Best practice is that both need to use the same estimation.

But simply said your question is BI related and Jira isn't a BI tool.

An app like sumup could help you, but not with the monthly requirement.

You could also look at Custom Charts for Jira, but as I mentioned your requirement is BI related the best would be to export this into a BI application and built a report there
