How to separate two Kanban Boards within the same project

Hi, 

I am looking to create to have two separate Kanban Boards. However, I do not want to carry the existing issues from the previous Kanban Board. 

Ideally I would like to carry over the existing columns so all Kanban boards carry a seamless view.

I have tried the initiative of setting labels on all issues to help filter out the issues on the 'second board'. However, I would like to keep this completely separate so there is no confusion amongst team members

I have seen some forums requesting to edit the filter query for the board. However I am unsure and pretty much unskilled on what JQL query I should pass through. My current default filter query is set as: project = EDBCLCM ORDER BY Rank ASC

I would just copy your existing board and then modify it to use a new/different board filter that shows the issues you want to see on the new board. And then change your columns as you desire.

What issues do you want to have in the new, second Kanban board? You have to have some data element in those issues that has a different value than that element in the issues you don't want included, and construct your filters to segregate issues based on that element.

Will the issues you want displayed in the second kanban board be created in the EDBCLCM project? Or will they be created in a different project?

If in the same project, should the second board include only issues created after a specified cutoff date, so that it won't have any of the issues that already existed and were displayed on the first board?
