How to select all issues that are updated in a date range?

Qi Luk July 11, 2015

I want to find all JIRA issues filed under a project that are updated during a specified date range.  Ideally I only want to see tickets that had any work done, or materialistic progress in the result, but since people in the team don't always log time, I'm happy to just get a result list with any activity in the ticket such as comments.

As an example this would give you all issues from project ABC which have been updated in the last 3 days

project = ABC and updated > -3d

Unfortunately, if you'd like your search results to remain static over time (like in a Confluence page using a Jira filter gadget), using the "Updated" field will not work if the Jira has again been updated outside of your filter range.  I still haven't found function that can poll the History field in Jira for those update times.
