How to see a Jira issue in project 1 board but ticket belongs to project 2

jainmb July 4, 2021

Hello Team,

I have two projects - Project 1 (  two issues - Project1Ticket1, Project1Ticket2)  and Project 2.

( one issue Project2Ticket1). I want to see Project2Ticket1 on the board of Project1.

I have updated the filter query and filter query has included the Project2Ticket1 in the output. However when I go to board, it does not show me the same ticket in the backlog of project 1.

I am using Jira Cloud latest version.

I am not sure which setting is blocking it to be made visible on project 1.

Any pointer or solution will be really help ful.

Thanks.

Kind Regards,

Mahaveer Bhamashah

Hi @jainmb

There could be a number of reasons for not showing the expected results:

  • Wrong query (but you said that you have seen this issue on the results)
  • Sub-filter hides this issue
  • Quick filter (something might be pressed)
  • Status of the Project2Ticket1 is not mapped in the kanban board of project 1 (this could likely be the problem)

As @Jack Brickey stated, a screenshot of kanban's filter should be helpful.

I would add a screenshot of the two separate kanban boards.

Regards,
Alex

I assume both projects are CMP projects. Please share your filter for the board. Also what status is the project two ticket in?
