How to resize an image in a text field

Resizing an image in a text field is easy, drag the side of the image to your desired size. However, this size does not carry over into Confluence.

Images added to a field within Jira and that field contents automatically populating in a Confluence page renders the image gigantic, making the page useless.

Here is the Jira where I added my text and image:

Here's how the content renders in my Confluence page:

conf1.PNG

See, the image is so big that it makes the page useless. Is there a way to resize the image so that it translates nicely to Confluence?

Hello @sgover

You can try this:

  1. Select the image.
  2. Hover over a handle, select it, and drag it out from the middle or in toward the center to change the image size.
  3. From the Attachment Details page, choose the Edit Image button found below the image.
  4. In the Image Crop box on the right, input your chosen aspect ratio.
  5. Holding down the shift key to preserve the aspect ratio, make the selection of the image you want to crop

Hope this helps.

Thanks
