We have an old Board but we created a freshly new board and migrated the tickets into another board. The "Sprint" field is showing the previous sprints from the old project board. How can I get rid of these "sprints" in my view? I want to see the new "Sprint" where the items were migrated. (see attached pls.) Thanks.
Hello @Marivi Almazan
Deleting the sprint depends on whether your sprint is completed or Planned. Here are below the steps for both the approach:
Deleting a completed sprint is different from deleting one that’s planned or active. To remove completed sprints:
If not already there, navigate to your company-managed project.
Select Reports, then Sprint Report.
Select the relevant sprint from the sprint drop-down.
Select more () > Delete sprint.
When you delete a sprint, the issue it contained are moved to the next sprint in the list. If you delete an active sprint, those issues will keep their status in their new sprint.
To delete a sprint:
If not already there, navigate to your company-managed project.
From your project’s sidebar, select Backlog.
Select more () > Delete sprint.
Kindy Accept the ans if it helps.
Thanks
Thanks Asha! I followed the same advice.. we just need to be careful though as a colleague tried but accidentally deleted everything.. so there's no way to retrieve what has been deleted. Maybe this should be an added features in Jira. For every delete function, there should be a way to retrieve and not to retrieve the backup

Hi @Marivi Almazan ,
From what I gathered we cannot remove completed Sprints directly. Ref: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Content-Archive-questions/How-to-clear-completed-sprint-from-a-ticket/qaq-p/1299651
Perhaps you can give the workaround mentioned in this article a try and see if it works.
Please note that bulk editing will clear all your Sprint values, so you might want to try this out after taking a backup, or on a test site first.
