How to remove a Crowd user from Jira's internal directory

Antoine [Klee Group] June 7, 2021

Hi all,

Previously the users in my instance were managed in Jira internal directory. I currently switched to Crowd and enabled SSO via Crowd accross all Atlassian's applications.

I moved the users to Crowd (infact recreated them) and they appear in Jira and "mask" the previous user that was in the Jira internal directory.

The annoying thing is that some users which are present in both the Jira Internal directory and Crowd are now suggested twice when I want to filter or assign issues.

How to remove the user in the Jira internal directory and making it transparent for the user now connected via Crowd?
I am not sure that inverting the directories in the User Directories section will solve this, I want my users to keep their assigned issues and comments.

Any solution?
