I recently imported an old backup file into my JIRA instance. It completed with no problems, but I'm suddenly locked out. How can I regain access to my JIRA instance?

Easiest way is to reset the hashed password for your admin account to a known hash. These can be found here - http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Retrieving+the+JIRA+Administrator

Also take note that if your JIRA is pre 4.3.x that the user details will be in the os_user table not the cwd_user tables
