How to migrate to non-LDAP authentication?

I see that there is a lot of documentation and resources for using LDAP (Active Directory) authentication with Jira.

But what I need is to stop using Active Directory

Of course the past tickets should still be assigned to the same users.

I couldn't find any documentation on that.

That's the same process, I would even say easier. You can use Jira 5.x migrate option to do this or you can do the trick at database level, switching the directory configuration while Jira is offline.

If you using the newest JIRA, go to the admin section, then user directories. At the bottom under "Additional Configuration & Troubleshooting" There should be a link titled "Migrate users from one directory to another". It will take care of it for you.
