How to manage Portfolio Planner Roadmap tool if target end date field is missing on ticket?

Trying out the PortfolioPlanView.jsp (Portfolio planner or roadmap) with an initiative implemented by several different project team epics, stories, tasks.

Some tickets don't have "target end date" fields. What should I do if I'm trying out the various "scenario" options to visualize the plan with various target start and end dates if the ticket doesn't have this field?

Do your tickets have other dates on them? perhaps sprint dates being pulled through via a board or boards as issue sources? Or are your users just using alternate field(s)? If the latter, then you may want to update the settings on your Plan.
