How to make an Issue be linked to a previous Sprint?

Justin February 20, 2025

👋🏻 G'Day Jira Pro's,

I incorrectly setup my Board and when I completed the Sprint, some incorrect issues were migrated over to Sprint2. I've use the bulk-editor to update those issues to be Sprint1 (instead of S2) but now when i "see" the issues in reports or in the issue itself, it's just saying +1 instead of Sprint 1.

See how it's NONE even though that issue was allocated -only- in that sprint.

Is there a way to fix this so it will say Sprint 1 (and no +1)?

Hi @Justin ,

probably because you completed those tickets after sprint 1 release. Tickets completed during sprint 1 will correctly show Sprint 1 as sprint, all tickets planned in sprint 1 but completed after sprint closure will show next sprint if they have been completed in that sprint and None if those tickets have been completed out of sprints.

Hope this clarifies,

Fabio

Is there any way I can fix this up so they can correctly be registered as completing during Sprint 1?

Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_

The "+x tickets" have one or more previous  sprint names in their sprint field. As currently they do not appear in a sprint, it says the most recent value (none) but also indicate that other value(s) exist (the +1).

Only when you correct the content of the sprint field, the +1 will disappear.

Kind regards,

Dick
