Hello
I'm a site admin that use Jira Standard.
My org has a demand that the specific Jira project need to have external user access.
But I couldn't find how to configure these for the external user or the group for external user.
Could anyone guide me that is possible configuration in Jira Standard?
Best regards,
JaeHoon
Hi @김재훈 _Jaehoon Kim_ ,
Do you wish to make a project 'public' or do you just wish to add specific external users to a project?
If it's the latter, you would need to invite these users to your site and give them Jira license? After that (potentially before inviting), you would probably need to adjust permission schemes so that projects are 'restricted' in a way that only added users can browse projects and issues (this is usually assigned via project roles).
Once you have that set up, you could simply add these 'external' users to a specific project(s).
This is, at least, how I've seen people usually configure their products when they need to collaborate with external users.
Cheers,
Tobi
The external users wil need to be granted a license.
You could add them to a group, then adjust the permission scheme(s) used on the project(s) and grant this group the required permissions.
The browse permission is essential, otherwise users can't see the project at all.
