We have a trial version of Big Picture and it works fine so far.
I've downloaded the Enterprise add-on and it says 'Installed', but I'm unable to launch it.
Any idea how to get this thing running is highly appreciated.

Big Picture Enterprise is not a standalone app.. It requires Big Picture to work and it is adding new features not available in simple app.
You can check release notes for information what is available
and read more about differences between Big Picture and BP Enterprise version
