How to insert image from url in task/comment wysiwyg editor

Murz December 24, 2019

How we can insert image from external url in task/comment wysiwyg editor? In this (community interface) wysiwyg editor I can place url, but in task - only upload/giphy/dropbox. why?

Here is example of integrated image from url https://i.imgur.com/LcY07mL.gif but instead of show image from that url, your software is upload it to your server:

LcY07mL

Why? And how to show image directly from remote url?

Hello Murz,

Thank you for reaching out to Community!

When using the new issue view, the new editor is a Markdown one and there are two options to add images using the markdown syntax. Directly on the editor, the only options available are the ones you mentioned (browse, giphy, dropbox, google drive).

Please, check the link below for more details:

Markdown is not so comfortable for regular users, why not just enable default "insert image" plugin from TimyMCE?

Currently, there is no suggestion specific for TinyMCE, but on the feature request regarding the new editor, many customers mentioned this.
