How to hide work log to a Group or a Project Role?

Lorenzo Cavina November 24, 2011

Hi all,

is there a way to hide the worklog section inside the Issue page to some kind of Groups, Project Roles or users?

There reason why I'm asking this one is that I don't want my customers to see the time trakend and the work loggend on our help desk issues, but anyway, internally, we want to keep track of our work on Jira.

Thank you very much.

I tried and it worked. Anyway the amount of work tha has been logged is still visible to all users into the time tracking box inside the Issue summary page. Is there a way to avoid this?

I don't think that is possible. Time worked is just an attirbute on the issue and it will be visible to whoever has access to the issue. It doesn't breakup on the visibility of individual worklogs.

Lorenzo, don't you know how, after logging work on issue by several users with deifferent projects roles, understand how much time was spend for the issue by, for exambpe, separately developer and QA-managers?

Kind regards, Alex.

Is this changed now? Is there a way to restrict Log Work in summary section?
