The project board has some irrelevant workflow steps for some internal teams working on the project. Is there a setting to hide these unnecessary columns from their Kanban board?
Hi @Eric Wieszczecinski , the answer depends on some details in your situation. Can you answer the following for me?
If CMP software you can go to board settings under the ellipses in upper right corner and then columns. Here you can remove columns. Note, any statuses in removed columns will be unmapped in the board resulting in issues in those statuses not displayed on the board. For this reason you may wish to remap them to one of the remaining columns. Finally, you should ask yourself if you actually should simplify your workflow by eliminating unnecessary statuses but for this you need to consider if you are using a shared workflow scheme since such changes will impact all projects using the scheme. But I digress...
Hello! This project is a Company-managed Software project. I do have that board setting, but I do not have admin privileges to make changes due to the shared-workflow scenario you mentioned. Is there a user-level setting for simply hiding the various columns instead of removing?

talk to your Jira admin and see about creating a unique scheme for your project or a unique workflow if that is the better option. Based on what you have conveyed here, it seems like you are sharing a workflow scheme, where that is not desirable.

Understood. Sounds like if the column will always show if it exists. I'll check in with our admins. Thank you!
