How to have sub-tasks displayed in the detail view of a Kanban board?

JayC April 6, 2018

When adding sub-tasks to an issue, the Sub-tasks are being filtered by my Saved filter when trying to view them through the details issue view within a board.

What adjustment do I need to make to have my sub-tasks display similar to the linked issue in the screenshot below?

Current Filter Query:

type = Lesson AND category in ("Courseware Project") AND status not in (Obsolete, Done) ORDER BY Rank ASC

A JIRA scrum board backlog simply won't display sub-tasks.

Read e.g. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-to-Display-Sub-Task-below-the-Parent-Task-in-the-Backlog/qaq-p/262062 for more information on that topic.

Thanks Andreas. I updated my question as I took it from one already listed. I am using a Kanban board, so there are no sprints or backlog.

This is one of the many stupid decisions Atlassian has implemented and is not willing to change. Like many others. Too big to listen to customers, sadly.
